Scott
County Lawyer Referral Service
Need some legal advice but don’t know who to call? Don’t
know how to find a lawyer that handles your type of legal
problem?
The Scott County Bar Association has a lawyer referral
service to help you find a lawyer that can advise you about
your legal problem.
Lawyers in the Scott County Lawyer Referral Service agree
to provide up to 30 minutes of advice and not charge more than
$20. If additional legal services are needed, you can arrange
for them at that time if you wish, with the fee to be arranged
between you and the attorney.
To contact a lawyer in the Lawyer Referral Service, call
(563) 324-1772 any time. The person answering the phone will
need to know what area of the law you want to talk to a lawyer
about (such as family law or real estate). You will then be
given the name and phone number of an attorney who has agreed
to provide advice for that sort of case, and who has agreed to
not charge more than $20 for up to 30 minutes of advice. When
you contact the attorney, be sure to inform the attorney that
you were referred through the Lawyer Referral Service.
